Good basic app

I have been using the app for a little over 2 months now and the main thing I like about it is the ability to manage up to 6 gmail accounts from a single dashboard.

I also like the notification system. I’m use both an iMac and a Macbook Air and it generates a mail icon that sits next to the volume, wifi and bluetooth icons. You can see how many new emails you’ve got. I also like the pop-up notifications. Again, that can be switched off, but it’s a great way to see new emails coming in.

What Kiwi lacks however is integration with other core google apps, particularly google calendar. I think the publicity image up top on this page is a bit misleading since it shows an ical icon and suggests calendar integration. That is not the case.

I would love to be able to manage my google calendar side by side with gmail since the 2 run hand in hand in many people’s work flows.

Otherwise, so far so good. It works straight out of the box and the walk-through instructions are brief and easy to follow. I would recommend the app.

I’ve given it 4 stars because there is room for additional features, parrticularly integration with Google calendar.
